Therapy Prices

 

Appointment by arrangement only.  Prices are for all single or any combination of  therapies.

 

• 30 minutes: £30

• 1 hour: £60

• Longer sessions on request, and pro rata

 

Times include consultation.  I provide a purely professional massage service for therapeutic purposes only.  No tantric or naturist massage is available.

 

Initial Treatment and Consultation

 

I will fill out a client record form including information about your medical history, allergies, special considerations, doctor’s details and a list of conditions that may cause problems during a massage. We will then discuss how these will be dealt with before starting the massage. Massage is generally safe and beneficial, however there are some medical conditions or other contraindications where treatment should be limited or avoided. GP referral will be sought where appropriate with your consent, and all information given is kept strictly confidential.

 

Contra-indications include:

 

• Pregnancy - are you within the first three months or if past this stage do you have a history of miscarriage or other complications?

• Cancer, HIV and AIDS 

• Infectious skin disorders like chicken pox 

• Contagious illness 

• Conjunctivitis 

• Diabetes (if skin is very thin bruising may occur) 

 

How often should I have a treatment?

 

It depends on the reasons for receiving the massage. If you come to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with your daily life, weekly sessions may be necessary for a while to build on each session's improvement and healing. For those who use massage as preventive care and managing daily stress, once every two weeks is about the norm. They may shorten the time between massages during stressful periods. Some come more often just because they enjoy it so much!  For most people the frequency of the massages they receive is limited by their income. It's an unfortunate fact, but once many people realise the benefits it provides them and the pleasure they receive from it, they find a way to incorporate a regular session into their budget.

 

Will I have to undress?

 

Only for the Holistic Body Massage.  Most people prefer to keep their panties or briefs on during a massage, and if your problem areas are your lower back, hips, buttocks or groin, tight-fitting underwear can sometimes get in the way of massage work.  A thong for women or briefs for men should do the trick. I will ensure that you are always properly covered by a  towel, and only the area being massaged will be uncovered.

 

Before your therapy:

 

• Avoid alcohol, caffeine and heavy meals

• Avoid wearing clothes that may be damaged by oil

 

After your therapy:

 

• Take time to relax and allow your body to benefit fully from the treatment

• Drink plenty of water – it speeds up the removal of toxins from the body

• Try and avoid alcohol and large meals immediately after treatment

 

Cancellation Policy 

 

I ask for 24 hours notice for cancellation or re-scheduling. You are respectfully advised that you will be charged the full cost of the treatment without proper cancellation notice. Please call me as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your treatment.

 

Late arrival may result in a reduced appointment time.

 

Male Clients

 

I am happy to see male clients.  A scan of one form of photo ID will be requested prior to our first appointment.
